WebQuest use the power of the Internet to help teachers develop inquiry-based activities for students of all ages. WebQuest provide safe, standards-based ways to create learner-centered projects using the World Wide Web. WebQuest are student-centered activities in which learners gathered information through an inquiry-based activities using the Internet.

The WebQuest model was created by Bernie Dodge of San Diego State University in 1995. Other educators such as Tom March of San Diego Unified School District have helped to improve the model since that time.

WebQuest are now used around the world to offer challenging projects in a web-based environment. WebQuests can be found in every discipline.
