Photo Story 3
Photo Story is a great way learn about the exciting lessons you can create using Photo Story 3. Photo Story 3 is a free application from Microsoft that give teachers and students the ability to create digital stories and documentaries.
Visit Microsoft to Download Photosory or download Photo Story from the school server.
1. Select computer maintenance, click on Photo Story 3 to download.
2. Follow directions from there.

Open Photo Story 3 for Windows.
Choose Begin a new story. Click Next. Click on Import Pictures. Browse to your folder of pictures. Hold the Ctrl key and click on each picture you want in your story. Click OK. You’ll see your images in the bottom film strip. Rearrange by clicking and dragging.
Click Save Project. Save it to a folder – rename it something you will remember! Click Next. You can add text to each picture. Choose the double A icon above the text box to select a different font, size, color. You can center your and have it appear at the top, middle, or bottom of the picture. Click Next.
If you have a microphone, you can record your voice for each picture. Click on the red circle to start recording. Click on the square to stop recording.
You can also customize the motion for each picture. Click on the Customize Motion button. Click on the Specify start and end position of motion box. On the left image, draw a square around the part of the image where you want the motion to start On the right image, draw a square around the part of the image where you want the motion to end. You can set the amount of time the picture will be on the screen. Click Save and Close Click Next.
If you have a song you want for the background, click Select Music and browse to your song. Or, you can select background music from the software by clicking on Create Music. Select a Genre, Style, Band, and Mood. Play with the options. When it sounds good, click OK. You’ll see your music in an audio track above your slides. Click Next.
- If your story is perfect, you’ll want to save it as a finished product. Click Browse and decide where you want to save your movie. Click Next and the movie will be saved as a Windows Media File.
